Virginia Creeper on the tree next door. I loved the fall colors in this one. This is the same tree from Vines in the Hood but I wanted to get more of the tree. That meant I got to spend a LOT of time editing out background from all of the little leaves. I'm now permanently crosseyed as you can see in my Sefl Portrait

I thought Fall myself, and good luck in the contest, my dear. You've done an excellent, excellent job with the background on this one. It's very artistic and conveys the fall colors throughout I know you've put a lot of work into this one and it certainly shows. . It's going to be a tough act to follow :)))) PJ ................yes, it's in my faves :)

Thanks so much for your nice comments on my creepy vine. To get that background I put my whole picture in one layer and used a gaussian blur on it (this is something owd Bob told me how to do. Then I just played around with filters and came up with the marbled glass effect over that. For another layer (this was the hard part) I selected the tree and vines by using the polygonal lasso tool and then using the eraser to get all of the background out around all of those leaves (this is something Delhi told me how to do) People are so nice to help here at Caedes! Anyway that took me a very long time. That was the hardest part. Then I put that layer over the blurred and marbled layer and voila you have it. I guess I like it a lot more since I worked so hard on it. I'm glad you like it!

Hilda, this came up in my voting booth not to long ago. I didn't have time to stop and leave any comments and felt that I needed to take the time and come back to tell you how much I like this work. It has spent 6 days on my desktop, with one more to go.
It's just stunning; by the way I gave it a ten, because it deserves it.

Very beautiful image, Hilda! The colors really get your attention, but with the addition of your creative framing, it gives it a softening effect. Well done! And good luck to you in the contest :)
