We had such a beautiful day yesterday and even after the hard freezes we've had there were still some flowers growing. It was such a contrast with the fallen leaves.
Lovely shot! The flowers hold on as long as they can, don't they. We have some that are still hanging in there even after several hard frosts and snow on the ground.
I was a bit apprehensive when saw the title1.....wonderful post Hilda.....we have Wild Roses appearing here at the moment....just snapped some today!...loads of them!...Nature gone crazy eh!
Beautiful..and apparently tough too! Nice of them to stick around awhile longer so you could get this great shot of them Hilda! Clarity & lighting are perfect. Nice job!

Perfect title and perfect clarity in this lovely composition. So sad to see these sweet little things must go - but I'm so glad to see the tough ones hanging in there.
Such a neat combination of nature - such is all of life! You've done a wonderful job on the technicalities, Hilda, and I really enjoy the symbolism here!
Aren't you the lucky one to have the dried autumn leaves fall on those beautiful flowers and create a wonderful contrast to their delicate colors? Your eye for composition is, as always, exceptional, and I love the way you've caught these at an angle as they seem to hug the bottom of the tree trunk behind them. The slanting angle of the sunlight throws this all into deep shadows that make the picture come alive. Yes, Ma'am...in my faves :)PJ
