We don't get fog like this very often so when I woke up and saw this I grabbed my camera and off we went - me, my sweetheart and my granddaughter Bella - off to treasure hunt for beauty in the fog. I love fog, can you tell?!

"One misty, moisty morning" by Tomie dePaola's Mother Goose
One misty, moisty morning,
When cloudy was the weather, I met a little old man
Clothed all in leather.
He began to compliment,
And I began to grin,
How do you do, and how do you do,
And how do you do again?"
I was under the delusion that is was "cloy" was the weather, but I think I am the only person in the world that heard it that way..lol..anyway, I like this gentle reminder of fog and misty mornings ..nice job, my friend :)PJ
Great job Hilda, this is kinda spooky, I 'll tell ya somethin' funny. I love to take my dog Maggie (beagle) walking in the fog because she's really goofy, She just looks and looks at things and the hair stands up on her back and she barks at nothing. She likes to walk in it but she's sure there's something out there that comin' ta get us. LOL
Always remember to follow the Yellow Brick road, it will lead to the Emerald City and OZ...... A very nice place to live, trust me on this one I know. The Lion

WOW. 10/10. Wonderful picture. Silent, smooth, and beautiful in a very eerie way. This is such a brilliant picture. Where were you when you took this? Its absolutely wonderful. The bare trees, the orange...grassy stuff, and the still lake along with the settling fog add together for a simply superb picture. A picture is worth a thousand words, and so I could go on and on about this perfect picture, but I don't want to bore you to death.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
Yeah ... fog fascinates me as well. Looks to me like your "Treasure Hunt" turned out to be a huge success. You found your fog ... You found a scene and You managed to take wonderful advantage of both when you pressed that shutter release.
RobNevin took the words right from my ... er ... fingers? :oP
And I quote; "You must surely understand, how wonderful this image is. If not, please allow me to say .. it is."
Wonderful composition. You really made the best of the naturally occuring lines of the landscape in composing this one.
Now ... add in that fog ... very, very nice. I love that ethereal element it adds to a setting as well. At times, dreamy ... fantasy-like ... allowing the viewer to interpret the image in their own minds. That ... that is the essence of a great photo to me ... and this is.
Wow, I am going to have to keep my admission ticket to your galleries for a return visit. I recall "Romeo and Juliet" as being one of the first that I had viewed of your works. Taking a quick peek again ... you have a very nice gallery developing. (<---- get it? developing? Oh yeah ... I slay me. :oP)
*sigh*
If only there were more than 24 hours in a day. So many great images ... soon then. And until that time ... thank you once again, for sharing your creative and artistic endeavours from behind the lens. :o)
Oh Hilda, this is beautiful my friend! And your passion for fog is truly revealed in this image, and I can see why. It really is dreamy. I giggle at your words "off to treasure hunt for beauty in the fog", and I'm so glad you found it, and shared it with us :)
There's nothing quite as quiet as a fog...here captured so well.
