I was waiting for a sunrise, but it was cloudy and all I got was the sun peeking through the clouds when it got this high - and frostbite!

Wow, it looks like there is a fire on the ice! Those clouds really bent the light a lot to make it so brightly colored. Even though the sun is up, it looks like it is still dark out! A very interesting shot, Hilda!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

The sun above the trees and the reflection in the water, and lighting work very well with this photo. Good work Hilda.

I have to agree with Kidder...this is really an excellent looking sun..the reflection is just icing on the cake and probably icing on your poor fingers, my dear...thanks for sending this one and for waiting so long to capture it for all of us.

Sorry about the frostbite but sure glad you brought us this beauty. The colors and reflection are really dynamite Hilda. Wonderful work.

I'm in and out of here a lot but seem to have little time to comment. So, know that I enjoy your work and hope you have a happy day ;) Anita
