The ferns started to grow and froze and then started again. I'm glad!

Wow, that's some clarity and it looks like a dragon! Your background makes this a very interesting post. Nice work, Hilda!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

How stunning Hilda. One can imagine 'the dance' or the 'unveiling'. I love this with it's clarity and subtle background. It really is magnificent. Thanks Hilda.

After a bit of an absence, partly vacation but mostly tax season...busy for bookkeeping businesses... I'm glad to be back out here with at least 'some' regularity. I've missed everyone and am glad to have a little more time again.

This is just delightful. Vivid, vivid color standing out against the blurred white ....and... the form of the fern is beautiful.

i love ferns-
saw some cool ones the other day while out of town and did NOT have my camera!
the freeze nailed the neighbors lilacs- so i gotta go rob them from another yard(shhhhh-don't tell!)

What a lovely unusual pose for a Fern. Good job with details and the clarity. It looks like it is stretching and waking up from the freeze. The lime green color is striking and looks beautiful against the interesting silver background. Fabulous as a desktop view. Hilda, I appreciate this unique Fern :)

I wholeheartedly agree with alll of the above.

This is one seriously cool shot.

You made it somewhat easy for me to start back in on the images in your galleries ... this one immediately jumped out at me, as they say.

A number of things work well in this image of yours ... the most striking visual elements to me are the vertical lines, the fern itself is unreal ... and the colour palette is a favourite of mine.

Exceedingly complimentary to one another.

Thank you for sharing this one ... and now, I'll join the others and add it to my favourites folder as well. :o)
