Lighting the fairies' path over the lily pads! Taken at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. This is my first attempt at using the Orton technique I read about here on Caedes.

Thanks for the lights, Hilda...we fairies appreciate all the help we can get :) This is a wonderful first attempt and I can only imagine how good you're going to get at this. You're off to a grand start. Lovely and in my faves folder..just can't decide which one...

Wow! Way to go, Hilda! They look like little luminaries all right. I wouldn't have thought to use Orton on this, but I'm glad that you did because this is just wonderful!

The Orton technique has worked very well with this one. You’ve managed to give it a beautiful glow, which I find very pleasing. Love the composition in this too. Now I’m off to find that tutorial.
