I'm not sure if sculpture is the correct category but I really liked this wood carving we found in someone's yard. We drove past and turned around and went back again. It's over 6 feet tall. I blurred the background because it wasn't that cool with the house behind it. I just found it very fascinating and detailed for wood.

Wow, what a find, Hilda. You captured the detail exquisitely. I'm glad you turned around for this one. Great job.

Sure looks like a sculpture to me Hilda
I can just imagine the car stopping , and You getting out with Your camera. A neat but strange capture looks like the wood carving's levitating !! :o)

It's really pretty. I wouldn't mind it in my yard. Six feet tall is really big though! Nicely done, Hilda. Just showing us the interesting subject. Wonderfully carved.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I'd love to see what kind of tools could produce this much detail, even if it was over six feet. You seem to have the greatest eye for interesting statues in people's gardens. Love this one and of course I faved it!! :)
