This butterfly reminded me a lot of a monarch, but it was smaller and had different markings. I don't know its true name. I tried to catch the under and over sides to show the contrast. Taken 880 miles from home.

The blue seems almost ready to fly off his wings. Beautiful PS treatment of this scene, Hilda!

Just a note - this is pretty much how it came out of the camera with very little editing. The blurred background is the camera's work! DOF, I think..

It looks like an oriental painting or a scene you'd see on a beautiful screen. I love it, Hilda, and I see you're trudging on back home ... only 880 miles this time *smile* :)

A very surreal image for a photo Hilda, and a good one at that.

I don't know what the butterfly is called, but I do like the way you treated the background. This is quite pretty, Hilda.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
