The reason I was out before dawn on very chilly mornings was to try and capture the mist rising off of the water. I didn't get to see what I was hoping for, but I did get some nice sunrises and here you can see a little of the mist rising after the sun came up.

Pictures like this tug at my heart-strings. I don't really know why, but it's something to do with the aching loneliness of such a simple composition, that combination of horizontals that man has been looking at for thousands of years. This is wonderful - cool, uncluttered, elegant and rich - and the proportions are perfect for me. Another favourite.
