This is more like a piggy back ride, but it made me think of the song by Bill Withers: "Lean on me, when you're not strong And I'll be your friend I'll help you carry on" Even though this Atlas moth looks pretty worn out, he's still supporting his friend. Maybe I'm reading a lot into that, but I like the idea that we are here to help each other out.

I love the idea, Hilda! I often use song lyrics as inspiration for my home-made cards. You are right, this poor Atlas has been through a lot of wind and weather...but he looks so beautiful next to the green leaves. Youth and vigor are not the only criterion for beauty!
Lovely clarity in this closeup!

It also reminds me that "Even though this Atlas moth looks pretty worn out" he can still teach things to those coming behind him. Thanx for sharing another great post, Hilda, I always look forward to yours!

Pretty unique capture you have here, Hilda. The colors and details are excellent as is the subject matter. I'll bet you were hustling to get the shot before one of them decided to move on! It doesn't look like the moth would be going anywhere in a hurry though. Life as an insect must be tough -

Great colors throughout and as usual your clarity is outstanding. I like your idea of us supporting each other through life. It's what friends are for and I have to agree with your sentiment!
