I was out at my favorite place catching my first sunrise in a long while. There were no clouds to reflect in the water, but it was smooth as glass so I started manipulating my environment a little by throwing stones to create a Venn diagram. I love the way the ripples intersect and if you look closely you can see areas that catch the light of the rising sun.

very nice interpretation of the contest theme here. I was going to suggest levelling the barrel distortion on the horizon but then realised that curves are the whole point :-)

Love your title...how very clever of you! This is a photo that deserves to be seen full size and it's amazing how many curves and reflections of the rising sun there are. Well done, and good luck!

Great job. I like the colors of the sky and water. The ripples inter connecting reminds me that everything we do in life sends out a ripple effect that may effect someone we do not even know and it is up to us if the ripples are for good or bad.

You brought me right back to senior Physics class in high school, Hilda! All we did was work with wave tanks for a whole semester, but I have to say that I find the ripples always a fascination. It was clever of you to make this pleasing disturbance in the still water. Clever title also.

Great shot, great title. The dawn light is exquisite, I always think it's as delicate as eggshells and it certainly is here. Throwiing stones to make ripples was inspired - good luck in the contest, this is great!

Good idea. You still have the perfectly still glass water, and the ripples seem to be gently waking the waters to ready itself for the day's activities. nice job.
