Not a very original title, but that's what it reminded me of! Sorry to be so absent and not commenting. I hope to have time to catch up in the New Year!

Love the rays of the sun on the water, Hilda. It's nice to see you having the time to stop by and even post! Busy times, but it happens to everyone.

This is quite a large view. Did you get a new lens?

There's our lost Hilda!..lol..You came back with a bang girl! This is surely beautiful! That sky with the slight reflections in the water make this so perfect! Excellently done!

This is so beautiful...it's as if the sun literally punched a hole in those thunderclouds. Love the strong rays and the blue on blue on gray colors.

I love the thin line of the horizon separating the water and sky, especially the hole in the clouds with the sun's rays. Very nicely composed picture.

Just stunning Hilda, what a way to make a re-entrance! Incredible shot of the small clear hole in the clouds, with the rays coming down. I can see the blue in there. The relection on the dark water is so pretty too! Great one!

It's a perfect title, Hilda. The reflections are really nice and of course, the clouds are spectacular with the sun shining through. Was this taken in Washington?

I love the entire blue-grey cast to it all, and the sun rays streaming down. It kind of tells me that no matter how dark a day seems, the sun is always ready to break through the clouds...

I love it when this happens, and so often I'm not ready with my camera or it doesn't come out well. You did great with this one, not too much noise and plenty of detail. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been absent and not had any time to comment Hilda. Life just gets in the way sometimes doesn't it?

Very dramatic Hilda! I like how you captured the rays shining through the small opening with blue sky above while everywhere else are dark foreboding low hanging clouds.

All my best to you for a healthy, happy and wonderful 09!
