Just happened to catch this beauty while on a morning walk in Texas. I never get to see them here! I did quite a bit of work at blurring the background.

Whoa...very realistic. I especially like the leaves, shiny ad like I could reach out and touch them. Beautiful composition. KEEP-PAH!

Beautifully done, Hilda.

I like what you did with the background, it makes stand out the flower even more, lighting is perfect:o)

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

I love the dreamy effect you've achieved with the blurred background, Hilda. A beautiful flower.

The blurred background does add a lot. It alloiws the eye to focus on the beautiful magnolia. Nice work. Fran

The blur really works in this one. Where in Tx. did you go? That is where I grew up.

Good that you found such a beatiful blossom close to the ground... I have flowers on my magnolias now, but they are up too high! Love the presentation as well.

This is beauty in simplicity Hilda! I like the lack of anything in the background, it allows the viewer to focus on the glossy green leaves as well as the soft beauty of the magnolia blossom itself!

I love magnolia's, they remind me of Gardenia's which are my favorite flower for it's awesome scent!

This went to my favorites folder. Thanks for sharing this with me! :=)

Lovely softness in the background and the beautiful creamy white of the magnolia is perfectly captured.
I am putting this on my desktop to remind me of summer and warmth :)
