Sorry for the repetition but after some thought I think this angle is a better composition than Round Valley 1. It is a better follower of the rule of thirds and the road adds some interest and scale and draws you into the scene.
I can see why you're fascinated with this valley. This wider view was a very good choice on your part and allows us to see the difference in the desert areas up close and the greener pastures in the back. This has my vote!!

I agree with you on the road, it's the curves in this that caught my eye - the road leading you in and the valley curving upwards to the right. Great light, great sky.....great job!
an excellent shot Jon - the lines are fantastic in this photo - you know how I like lines! swirling here and there and then all shooting off to the left!
