A brief description of Lagrange points, courtesy of wiseGeek.com: "Lagrange points are stable gravitational points in space where an object could be placed and it would remain at a fixed position with respect to a body orbiting the Sun, such as the Earth. Every orbiting planet has five Lagrange points. Earth's Lagrange points are called L1, L2, L3, L4, and L5. Lagrange points often feature in discussions about space or science fiction because they would be ideal locations to build space stations." If you remember the movie "2001: A Space Oddyssy", the Lagrange point at Jupiter is where Dave Bowman encountered a gigantic space monolith, which drew him in, leading to a technicolor explosion of images and colors as it integrated him into itself, thus creating the Star Child. This fractal is the first one I've ever done that has no mutations, one script (axial fracture), all the major changes taking place in the transformation editor. I added two triangles, adjusted the rest, and this was the end result. The name is an inspiration courtesy of Nikoneer, in regards to several recent discussions two sci-fi movie fans had. Thanks, Nik! Apop 7X.

interesting! Definitely not something I'd come up with: I'm scared of playing with straight lines, and you've got them lined up pretty nice. And I like the description.

"My God! Where are the stars?" That's what Bowman would have said if he'd gone into the monolith on the right instead of the one on the left. As we all know, that one on the left was full of stars—David was just a little bit ahead of the script in this scenario. Well, Toni, it certainly does look like something you'd find at a Lagrange Point orbiting Jupiter, and also what you'd find inside that giant monolith. In fact, I think I see Bowman's pod at the very center of that bright point of light. I can even hear him begin to babble (just like me). Thank you for the early Hallowe'en gift—it's going right into my favorites.

So groovy!...lol...The softness and those colors are gorgeous in this fancy design! Your words are all gibberish to me...lol...I'm not a big space fan or of the movies either. But this creation of yours is fantastic sis!

Very beautiful, Toni! I love the soft and transparent colours! I also like the flow and movement... as if ribbons were unraveling... in space? :P Thanks for the info on Lagrange points!
