The King of all home and garden creatures, the lizard lol.. This is my first attempt at this photo contest. The rules i broke were, -subject facing towards the wrong side (not into the image).. -subject not completely in view.. There are probaby others too, but I'm unsure. Enjoy.

You have centred the subject too which disobeys the "Rule of thirds". Pretty good focus on the lizard, the lighting could be better though. Good luck in the contest!

Agree with Samatar. In fact , i thing the lighting could be better and back is not in focus.
Good focus in the first plan.

Yup that's the problem with these chameleons. They tend to look like whatever's behind them, so it's tough to get them to show up well in photos. In this case breaking the two-thirds rule worked well for you as did the rule of having the entire subject in view. The tension of the subject is well-represented in this image. We can see that the subject is about to spring away at any second. Nice job.

Without the white, he'd be a goner and so would the photo. As it is, I can focus right in on him and ignore that background a little. ;) Good luck.
