This was one of the countless houses in the 9th Ward of New Orleans that was destroyed by Katrina. The house here was one of the few actually left somewhat standing in this neighborhood. The truck was also one of many left for good, long forgotten.

What a poignant image Dj..the black and white leaves the distinct impression of the death and despair that followed Katrina. The writing on the wall of the home is what my son did while he was there. It makes me wonder , is this his handwriting? The devastation that this hurricane wreaked is beyond comprehension. Thank you so much for your & regmar's efforts to help those of us who have trouble comprehending how horrid conditions really are by bringing to us these images. Well done my friend.
I am glad that you are back. You have been missed :~)

Now this is what I was referring to before...very much 'in your face' as to how much damage was done...unbelievable force of nature and devastation...sad too...the b/w really accentuates it all...great job in capturing all that...hope you'll do more sometime.:Pat.
