Boston had a Pumpkin Festival this past weekend. They had over 31,000 carved pumpkins! Apparently it broke a record (or came close) for the most jack 'o lanterns in one place. And, I think they broke a record for the most people in a three acre area! It was not for the claustrophobic, but fun.

Wow, that's a lot of pumpkins! Thanks for posting this picture. It's great for me, as I won't be home for halloween and will not get to carve my own pumpkins. At least this way, I'll be able to see some.

That's marvelous gastly scene. Glad you captured it and a good contest entrant. if I were to come up on this scene unawares at night, I would have to change me drawers.

Well, you guys beat us out up here in Keene, NH...we only had about 80,000 people and about 28,000 pumpkins. I'm still going to post mine as runner up...lol...but I am not sure how a small town can compete with the city slickers j/k j/k :) Nice post, good luck in the contest. I like how you stuck it out to the end. I had to leave early...right after I could just see the lighted jack 'o lanterns..guess I have a touch of the claustrophobic myself ;)PJ
