I've noticed different varieties of ornamental grass lately. Not sure if they're becoming popular or I'm just more observant. I love the way they sway in the breeze; they seem so delicate and strong at the same time.

You must be observant to take such a simply lovely shot. I particularly love the white, cream, and greens. It all sort of mixes together. Perhaps could use more contrast, but still a superb capture. Thanks so much for sharing. Ashley

I think grasses are having their day. More people are planting these wonderful specimens and you are probably more aware of them too. They are great textural additions to a planting area or garden. I love them all and these are some I don't see too much and they are so soft and fluffy looking and I love them filling up the frame like that.

I too appreciate this pic and love the grasses that so many people seem to be cultivating these days, yet when I viewed this in thumbnail I liked it better than close up, so when I download it for my desktop (which I will do) I'll just upload a smaller size. I'm not sure I can tell you why, but perhaps it's the overall effect when you can see the whole upload rather than just a part..whatever, I have my solution and your wonderful upload to work with..thanks :)PJ

Oh, so soft... This is such a wonderful desktop. I think I'd like to see this grass after an icestorm, with tiny cover of ice. Even old usual grass is transformed by ice. Thank you for sharing.

Miscanthus geuns....nice to look at, just don't let it loose in the wild, there's a good chance it'll spread like mad
