I am a big fan of simple. I think the blue hues here really make the shot. Yes, good job on the steam, and polishing the kettle of course, but the blue, I think really makes this work. A tip of the hat to you for this! -mike
This shot's a beauty, David. When I see your postings, I have to look to see if what I think I'm seeing is what's really there. You are a world class magician with your post photo work. I'll assume that this is really a boiling tea pot. Love the color of the intense heat coming from the electric burner. The brushed stainless steel surface seems to indicate some overhead lighting from a bulb and some natural lighting from maybe a window. The composition is flawless. This is a solid 9 in the VB.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Perfectly done, DP. As I suppose, it will be a very hot cup of tea, lol. No problem, because it gives us more time to enjoy this original and creative image.
Such a simple subject, but such a wonderful outcome. The blue of the pot and the hot red of the burner are complimentary to the composition and the offset allows us to see the steam emanating from the boiling water inside. I like that the stove is nice and clean too. Silly, I know, but what can you expect from a house wife?
In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art. ~Rumi~
This is a clean, sharp, modern composition and the red coil truly stands out. Amazingly, it almost looks like the base of the pot. Your creativity speaks for itself.
