Dolly Sods is in the Monongahela National Forest, West Virginia and is one of the most naturally beautiful areas to backpack this side of the Mississippi. That would be the east side for all of you westerners. I took this picture in May of 2009 and it still brings back found memories. Thanks for any and all comments.

This is the back wall of the outside of the Mausoleum in my home town cemetery, Columbiana, Ohio. This cemetery houses the Harvey S. Firestone family memorial. He was the founder of the Firestone Tire & rubber company. I grew in Columbiana about a block from the cemetery and spent many summers using it as my playground. Except for the plexiglass over the stain glass it is the same as it been for the last 50 or so years. Thanks in advance for any and all comments.

This is the sunrise before the Cleveland National Air Show 2009, last year. I got there very early to get my spot for good pics. I was way too early as it was at least 2 hours before anyone else showed up. I used my time wisely. Any and all comments are appreciated.

Actually it's not a Catholic church it a Baptist Church and it's not Midnight it about 12:30p on a Sunday. I just like the name. I tried some different effects in Lightroom and Nik software. Any feedback or comments is appreciated.

These guys are amazing. I never tire of watching them at an Air Show. The 1st time I saw them was during one of there practice sessions at NAS Glynco Georgia. That was in 1972 and they were flying F-4 Phantoms. More to come. Thanks to all for your comments.

The B-17 is as low tech as you can get but it's simply amazing what they accomplished during the second world war. I could go on and on about it but I won't. This is Fat Albert the Navy Blue Angles support plain. It is actual part of their show. It goes up 1st and does some pretty incredible aerobatics. Fat Albert is a C-130 Marine Corps aircraft. During my time in the Marines I had the pleasure to work around C-130's but never had the opportunity to fly on one. I will say, and I'm sure others will agree, it is one incredible work horse of an aircraft. This is the 1st in a series of pics from this years air show. Thanks in advance for any and all comments.

This was taken earlier this summer at Hinckley Lake, near Brunswick Ohio. It is the only part of the Cleveland Metroparks that is outside of Cleveland's Cuyahoga County. It's a small beaver dam and I wasn't certain if it really was one until I saw the unmistakable tree cuttings. I didn't see a beaver hut so I'm not sure why they were building the dam.
