One can speculate, that the action of water and waves, had as much to do with the formation of the strong and constantly moving architecture of the whale, as it does with the contour of continents and their shorelines.
How would it be to take a stroll across the waters of the world? Be constantly eating as though in a great buffet, and then to fast for 4 months in the clear waters of Caribbean? One can wonder.

Corvis, seen as it were, in broad daylight. By effect of the light and angle, it appears almost as the emblem of a crow. Emissary? Toolmaker? Messenger? Harbinger? Or as it seems here a rip in the blue sky space time? A portal to some darker realm? Known for their pro-social behavior in groups, odd and flexible vocalizations, and intelligence, here we have it, the archetypal manifestation of crow. They appear so stately, with heads held high, almost formal, that I could imagine them as a subject of colonial portraiture. "On these shores"..."sea to shining sea." However in another context turning the page to a different era and another environment, I don't think they would quibble over whether to call their fortunes...French or freedom fries.....

Seen here in a family group. A bipedal ape known for its strong affinity to oceans and all bodies of water - Humans or Homo Sapiens being the remaining extant example. The amniotic fluid of the neonate has often been compared to seawater. In the Aquatic Ape Hypothesis, primary characteristics such as hairless or furless skin have been attributed to an evolution of a swimming ape into a primarily land bound creature. (See Wikipedia for more information) Although embraced by such notable naturalists as David Attenborough, the theory is largely disregarded in academic circles. There can be no denying the potency and fascination of the ocean and waters in general to the species.
