Decided to take a trip down memory lane and found myself at my old high school. This is the music and arts building. The hard and sharp edges of this rectangular building fascinated me.
Took a trip to Grandfather's Mountain (which is absolutely gorgeous). I was lucky enough that the sun wasn't out (thanks to hurricane isaac), which was great since I got there midday and was nervous about harsh light. First time going to the mountains with this camera, so I was super excited! I tried my best to capture the fog and tried to make the green standout. Calabash, also known as a bottle gourd, grows with springy curly spirals. I purposely broke the rule of thirds for this photo simply because I thought it would make the spiral look a little more carefree...but that's just my opinion.
one of many plants from my parent's garden ready to be transferred from its nursery cup to the earth.
