Names of painting sometimes come quickly.and his one did.i made the painting up in my head as I followed the design of the wood. The wood was part of a old church pew that I found left for the garbage. The carving-oil painting is 8"x6" on oak. The wood is 2 1/2" wide and then tapers to 2". Made from the back of a old bar stool. Large wood that hangs by my front door.-- I search everyday for old wood. My newest find was church pews which I am now in the process of cutting up.
Took first prize for carving in the Albany Veterans art fest for 2013. This believe it or not this is a carving-oil painting. I hung it on the side of the house so I could get a picture of it. Victor--almost made it to the national level with it..

I took a first place with a carving and a third place with a oil painting in the Albany. N.Y. Veterans Administration .I will receive another award from the national division of the Veterans Administration on Tuesday. . I have to thank my friends for the encouragement to keep going.--- My family and friends all have pieces of my art. I have about a hundred that will follow me to the grave. I also have about twenty pieces in galleries for sale in New York State with Art de Cure. I only wish that I could give my friends more than just pictures of my art. Truth is my paintings are very expensive to ship. Thank you Caedes for showing my Art work and for the great people I have met here.---------Victor.

Painted on a 6" x 10" piece of hardwood another Van Victor is born. I could hold the piece in one hand and carve and paint with the other. Not all my painting have to be big.//// My Sun is made with a bottle cap. The rays were made with a spice cap and I did it with my Yankee baseball cap on my head. ----------It's a winner from Van Victor.-----Best seen at 802-427. small size is close to real size---

This is a wood carving. The carving is 14" x 45" on a pine board. You can see the carving marks when as you make it larger. It was asked that I record the process so others can learn from it. The landscape was first carved with nails. So look deeply into it but not to deep.-------------Victor
