Trash Art number 100 Uploaded: 03/18/13 1:45 PM GMT

Image: Trash Art number 100

Well Trash Art number 100 been having a lot of fun with this ...... but in the mean time was taking some texture pictures in Rotterdam last week found a store window covered in wrinkled wit paper so was doing my thing snapping them texture shots when a gentle man came to me and asked me what on earth I was was doing taking pictures of wit paper so for the first few moments I could only grin it must have looked pretty funny. Had a choice could tell him to mind his own bees wax or explain.... well after telling him all the dirty details he looked at me as if I had lost all my marbles so told him he could check me out on the internet well he wanted to do that there and then and invited me to come to his store (a large Sandwich Food Chain) think he was deciding about calling someone about this crazy person but he looked me up on his computer.............. Well after verifying my sanity he asked me if he could put my work on his vid screen as he liked it very much well my jaw hit the floor there I was grinning again......and........looking stupid so after a cup of java to calm me down the deal was done kinda made my day. In the mean time have made a selection of my work in a Power Point presentation getting some business cards made and the deal is his customers can order a poster of my work if they so wish and I get creds and keep the vid screen up to date and free Java of course. Well will let you know how that works out. As for Trash Art number 100 some of my Caedes friends have no idea what you can do in layers so am posting a link to the original picture I used to make Trash Art number 0100. Shot the picture form the street threw the store window well did the Paint.net thing and number 100 was born hope you enjoy for my self its always a surprise what is hidden in them there layers. A good friend no so long ago wrote to me “Seriously, I could envision you making some money if you wished. And that kind of capitalism is no a bad thing in my book.” so thanks to him and all those that support my work but most of all people I joined Caedes 23-10-2010 and did not know a thing about layers and maybe earning a income in the near future. I make most of my Trash Art pictures with a pocket camera and use Paint.net a freeware program so money is no a issue just practice pounding and grinding as I call it and you never know and I quote again “I could envision you making some money if you wished.” Trash Art are recycled pictures I have taken in Rotterdam buildings, street art, flowers, trees, brickwork and anything else at street level grinding and pounding them into what I call Trash Art.

Trash Art are recycled pictures of photos I have taken in Rotterdam buildings, street art, flowers, trees and brickwork grinding and pounding them into what I call Trash Art. Was Trashing this one the........ (statue and the background are two different pictures) was about to add another layer and well..... just liked it as is its always hard to decide when to stop working on a image so would another layer have given a different image yes.... would it have been better don't think so. Which presents me with a problem huuuuuumm this is a .....half Trash then

100k_xle's tutorial Uploaded: 12/11/12 7:30 PM GMT

Image: 100k_xle's tutorial

Hi E.J. per request “I've got lots of Trash. How do you make the Art? Is their a tutorial?” Trash does not all ways mean trash as in garbage but more like grinding and pounding Trashing. I took 3 images from your gallery Welcome, Great Egret and Best of Fogz did some grinding and pounding I hope you don't mind. Used Paint.Net to do the grinding and pounding its a no nag freeware program you wil have to get the plug in pack to metallized some of the layers Started with (layer 1) Welcome did a metallize and adjusted so that the out line of the house was dark and the sky light (blend mode normal). (layer 2) Great Egret did a metallize and adjusted so that the was a nice B&W then turned it into a negative (blend mode darken). (layer 3) Best of Fogz as is (blend mode overlay) I qoute “I love this Art Form. This one is my favorite! You've inspired me to give it a go in a slightly different direction.....Color.” As for myself I would have done a B&W but you like color so I left layer 3 as color would also have added an other layer or two but this is a tutorial for you. E.J. Thank you for the support am looking forward to see your work. Tip take lots of texture pictures wood, trees, street posters bricks any thing that you can capture shot mix and match everything and anything and have fun Trashing.
