After climbing up Mt Major, the hard way, you get a beautiful view of Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. Unless you are young at heart or an athlete, take the easier route. The view is tremendous as the lake is very big, 72 square miles, 253 islands and the drive around the lake is 182 miles. In the background are the White Mountains.

One of our few snowstorms and our county has even fewer snowplows. So even if someone made it to work, I'm staying home. Of course I'm retired.

Walking along the shore at Edisto Island, SC there were lots to view. As the tide was going out, there were many sea creatures near the beach and an abundance of shells. While looking for a variety of shells, we found this octopus in a small shell. When we vacated his home, he went searching for a new one.

Helping the Boy Scouts, I had cold nights and even colder showers. It was worth it to see a few wonderful sunrises.

While at Edisto, SC, I noticed what looked like a log in the pond behind our house. With my camera, I found it was an alligator moving through the water with no signs of movement. I went outside to take a few photos and it kept coming straight towards me. It was time to go back indoors.
