A new initiative has been launched called "Artist of the week"; you can read all about it here. If you would like to nominate someone, please ensure they fit the criteria as described in discussion topic and send their name to me via personal message.

Ditto !!! And in the F.Y.I. catagory, you can only nominate one artist per week/month....I know cuz I asked Sam when I nominated & I was ready to nominate more than one person at that time. I'm really looking forward to this. :o )

Is it official? Are we sticking with the week timeframe?

How many weeks will this go on until we get through 'em all? :-) Will they repeat?

I was wondering about the timeframe myself. It seems like one a week would get to be too difficult to keep up even for Sam. =)

I think a month is not a bad idea. It adds to the prestige, makes the system more manageable, allowing for more nominations, and gives each artist more time for the intended recognition response.

Not really difficult to announce a new person each week. I just PM the winner and then write a short introduction. A month I think is too long as people would lose interest. Maybe a fortnight will be a good timeframe.
