Email notifications now work

Submitted by caedes 03/04/12 12:51 AM GMT

The site will now correctly send you a notification when you get a Personal Message or (optionally) any type of message. There are two new options in your profile for this feature. Message rate is limited to 20 per day per email address.

Thank you. Very useful.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Click on "Edit Profile" ... found under "Control Panel" in the left-hand side menus of any given site page.

Once on that page, the two options to check (if desired) are:

i) "Send me a note via email when I get a new personal message."

ii) "Send me a note via email when I get any messages."

These two options are not turned on by default.

When I went there the first option was already checked, and I had already received two email notifications.

There was a previous option in your profile that purported to do the same thing, but it didn't actually work. If you checked that option, then it is still checked and it will start functioning now. Only about 60 people had checked that option while it was non-functional.
