I don't know but I do have a theory: If everyone voted 10 and everyone who looked at it downloaded it, it would rank 100:100; then if someone put it in their favs that increases the c-index to above 100? Since the sorce is only updated once a day, lets say three people looked at it after it was uploaded, and they all voted 10 and favs, and then the score was updated; it would stay at 113 until the next update, at which time it would probably go down to 99, because more people would have looked without downloading which affects the c-index. Anyway as I said just a theory.
I think you're right, Sam. Or something like that.
The first time I saw a picture with 105:100, I sent a PM to Caedes. His answer was just: "All is right now :-/", no more explanations... :-D I think he just made a manual update...
I am having a baffling time with the c-index on this one: http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Caedes::Infopage&image=Samatar-1081467796.jpg
I had 7 very positive comments. 4 say they gave 10/10. I'm assuming the remaining 3 gave an average of, say 7/10. Now yesterday there were 16 views, and the c-index was 45/100. By my calculations, even if every single one of those 16 voted (which is unlikely), all 9 unnaccounted for already would have to give a 1/10 for it to have that average. Something doesn't seem right to me...
Me too... :-/
Sam: I saw many 'Computer->Landscape' pictures with bad c-index... Maybe members and visitors are fed up with these computer generated pictures?
......And maybe some visitors give a vote without downloading? Hmmm... Don't know...
Pierre: THere were 16 Views, about 8 Downloads I think. Like I said, even if every person who looked at it voted, all the ones who didn't comment would have to vote 1. If any of them had voted 2 or higher, the c-index should have been more. Also I think that some of those who looked would not have voted (Myself, for example...). So I can't understand how that c-index could be possible.
