thats really weird - one of the retouchers at work used adobe's feature suggestion form a while back asking for adjustment layer style filtering - maybe they do listen to those things after all.....
QUOTE: .. The resampling algorithms in Photoshop CS3 (i.e., resizing an image via the Image Size dialog) have a bug that results in degradation of downsampled images.
Unscientific Quote ... I wanted to tell those interested that I did my first HDR's with CS3 today and CS3 totally blows CS2 out of the water! With Photoshop CS2 it has always required some serious computer power to process large high resolution images and on my machines most always took a really long time to do so. The photos I processed today in CS3 appeared to only take a fraction of the processor power CS2 always required and the speeds of it was overwhelming to say the least.
Quote .. Adobe plans to build a 64-bit version of its flagship image-editing software, Photoshop, but the upcoming CS3 version isn't the place to make that plan a reality.
Quote ... I downloaded CS3 and then uninstalled it and I thought CS2 was running fine with no aftereffects from the CS3 installation and un-installation.....but.....I was wrong. Now I can't open Bridge from Photoshop.
I downloaded the beta version of CS3 and went to use it nine days later and I was told that my trial period was up (even though it is supposed to be 30 days) and had to enter a serial number to use it. I called Adobe and was told, tough luck, they can't do anything about it, it's another glitch! Well, who wants to buy it if they can't even try it?
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

why not - its worked for Microsoft for decades. the CS3 beta was found to have big compatibility faults so as I understand it - it was pulled. Adobe always have try before you buy free demos of their products and i'm sure the same will be for the final release of CS3.
CS-Whatever...I'm still using my old reliable Photoshop 6 for three reasons...(1) My computer is a seven year old dinosaur, and ANYTHING with a "CS" designation will dog on this old cyberpile...(2) I have about three dozen available plug-ins and even more customized actions that I'm partial to; most of them unique only to Photoshop 6, which I would certainly lose, even if I had a newer computer with a CS version installed...(3) My next computer (fingers crossed) will be a ProMac, in which I will have the latest CS version installed, as well as a Windows Platform to still run my old Photoshop 6!
