Would any of you artists mind if I were to borrow your images to use as my backround image on my myspace page? I tend to change the image often so opposed to asking one at a time I thought I would ask you as a group. I love abstract art and this page is chock full of goodies I would love to use, so may I please use them?

Unfortunately, we can only grant you permission as individuals, not as a group. One of the best things you can probably do is message specific artists you like and ask for free access to their galleries. 8•)

One man sees things and says "why?" - but I dream things that never were and I say "why not?"

I think you will find most people don't care as long as you ask them (others wont really care even if you don't ask them, but you probably don't want to take that chance as some get very angry). You probably won't be very successful getting a large response from all of the artists you want to use because not all of them read the forums. It is better to figure out what you want and then ask. Unless you want to be limited to who responds. That could work. (I don't mind if you use one of mine. Would be nice to know and get a link so i can see what your doing with it though)

No one wanted to pay to say something in my sig, so i will have to try and think of something creative now...

I think it's proper (and most instances, legal) to request of the creator of the image/composition, permission to utilize it...I know I would be most offended to find my work(s) on an art-for-sale site or even art retail gallery or establishment...with someone else's name on them...
