Is possible to add a new gallery for SPORT images?
We are all supporters of some teams i think..

New galleries are only usually considered for creation after at least a couple of dozen images specific to the topic find a home in the permanent galleries. if you - or anyone else - would like to compile a list of images that you think would qualify you can post it here to bring it to the moderators attention.

actually, I took a quick glance at the "action" gallery. at least half (or more) of those images are sports-related.

I think we should open up a sports gallery. I'm sure there will be PLENTY of entries for it.

But I guess I could always be wrong?

I think it is an excellent idea as long as it is limited to general images of sports and not depictions of pro teams.

BTW - When's our annual dodgeball tournament again?

My question would be, if we move all the sports related photos from the "Action/motion" gallery, would there be enough left to justify it's continued existence? Personally I would have thought that "Action/motion" would be a fairly obvious place to look for such images so that a seperate sprts gallery was unnecessary... but maybe that's only because I'm used to it.

I wondered that too, but sans sport images, there's all types of other motion, and a good deal of it is represented there.

I think this is a website for artistic works, not for supportive captures.
Emixware: you should upload some photos in the 'Action or motion' gallery, so we can see if a new 'Sport' gallery is interesting or not

currently there are around two dozen sports event images in the action galleries, however, the vast bulk of them are only from two particular sporting events, so not exactly a big spread or sufficient variety to warrant a new sports gallery as such - for the moment at least.
