From utak3r on Deviant Art Changes since Apo2.05b2:
+ Flame.Angle property in scripting language
+ Missing flam3-render.exe file message clarified
+ Getting a random gradient from a given file
+ Added *.flam3 file extension to the 'Open File' dialog
+ 'Render all flames' function added
+ Application exiting warning dialog
+ Stopping a render confirmation dialog
+ Stretching a gradient with ctrl+drag
+ .flame files are now renamed to .bak before saving to them
+ fixed PostXForm bug in non-asm code
+ Changing a background color doesn't require a flame recalculation
+ Two new variations: rectangles and super_shape
+ Output file path fixed, when exporting a flame to flam3
+ Transparency option flag taken into account, when exporting a flame to flam3
+ Plugin engine for adding custom variations
+ Nonsense limitation of a minimum 2-transforms flame scrapped. Additionally, "New blank flame" function produces a single-transform flame.
+ Other minor bugs and changes
And could someone please pretend I'm seriously computer challenged & explain how to do the plug ins please ? For the rest of the viewing audience you know.
Lu-Kout says that there's currently no plug-in handler built into any versions of Apophysis yet but they're working on it. I guess you can download the source code HERE if you want to attempt coding for your own plug-in handler. I think I'll wait. ;P
[EDIT (27 June 2007): Updated to prevent problems with invalid pointers. Place the DLL in the Apo Plugins directory, making sure to delete any previous version of the Mandelbrot set plugin DLL. Delphi source code for the updated plugin interface is also included in this download, along with the variation source code itself.]
The included DLL should be placed in a Plugins directory located just under the main Apo working directory (where the Apophysis .exe resides).]
the changelog reads, pretty much, like the first list
be there, or be square
we are forever DOOMED to using two gallons of ink to list which version of apo was used? .. soon it will be .. apo 206b beta z++ c++ joel + plus plus plus+
Quote .. Update! Apophysis 2.06c
Another hotfix for Apophysis 2.06 beta is available at SF.net
This release addresses two issues:
1. Fixed bug slowing plugins down a bit.
2. Floating point color values in palette now are rounded to integer values, instead of throwing an error.
First bug is addressed for all those, who use plugins for Apophysis, and the latter is for people using flam3 for generating flame transitions.
BTW... I've started compiling a collection of plugins, so watch my home page
I am with laurengary in reverting back to 2.05Z-beta+c+something. I've not had much success with the mutations pane. In 2.06 it just doesn't seem to work like it did.
LOL! You use mutations?? What's that?? j/k, but I rarely every use them anymore. It's mostly playing with the triangles and variations for me. I still like 2.05Z+ beta2 for the unusual variations though. ;)
hmmm... there's more to getting a flame than just using mutations.. you have to work on it, try different scripts, move triangles around, change he values.. I never use the mutations, to me thats just a base of a flame. The last 4 of my images are from the 2.06c.. works fine for me ;)
How do you get it to do the image size default full screen like before? Mine always opens up half way and it's really annoying. I have to resize it. I've tried going to image settings and clicking resize image. I've maxed the window. I've stretched it. Nothing seems to work. This is driving me nuts, please help.
