Ive got an image I want to upload here, but when I try to submit it, it said something like it doenst have the dimensions of a desktop image. SO is there a certain ratio I need to make the size of the image to be. If so can someone tell me the ratio. If it's that simple i think i Know how to do it.
Cool, I got it. Unfortunatly I couldn't figure out how to do it w/out stretching the image, but it still came out looking pretty good. Thanks for the help. I felt kind of dumb after seeing that, I should've know that those were the resolutions needed.
No problem. The discussion board can be a sea of searching for what you need sometimes. I had to ask too once. ;) Also took a peek at your image and don't know if you know how to remove the date, but images will do better without the date stamp for those who want to use it for a desktop image. Welcome to Caedes.
thanks, i have no idea how to remove the date though, my camera puts it on there. Maybe if i had some photo shop skills I could, but ive never used it before.
Hello Apost1! Use the clone stamp tool in Photoshop to remove the date. At the toolbar on the left 5 tools down is a stamp icon, click it. Open the image you want to work on and move your cursor over the image close to the date. Hold down the Alt key on the keyboard while simultaneously clicking with your left mouse button...this takes a sample from that spot to use to paint over the date. Works best with a soft round brush and multiple sampling points:-)
I had never used PS before I came here either, in fact I didn't even have it, or any of the other apps I use now for that matter. Stick around, doing is the best way to learn, and people on this site seem to learn fast...
Cool, thanks for the info. Maybe in the near future I will be able to find sometime to fool around with photoshop. Right now I don't really have any pictures to submit. I had some pics of an alligator in the lake behind my apt., but unfortunately the place i was getting them developed messed up my film. Oh well, I'll just have to catch him another time. Maybe I'll get a good one to put on here.
search for viewer freeware. Irfanview lets you resize and keep the ratio. ( be sure to download the all plugins.exe too) Its a free download, install the i_view program first.
