thanks to everyone who have taken the time and effort to present the tutorials... i am keen to learn as much as possible on the computer imaging side of things ... your efforts are well and truely appreciated..... i have corel .. paint shop 5 and photoshop 6 .. and am struggling to understand them... thanks again you are the best !!!

I dont know if my tutorial was really used or not, but it was just fun to make, most of the people on this site are pretty experienced.

Thanks Fantom. We need feedback like this, I have already deleted one of my tutorials because it had a low index and noone was commenting on it, so I didn't think it was being used.

I thought about this as well, but I noticed most other tutorials had low c-indexes as well.

yeah i dont think the tutorials really fit well into the voting system.. as long as they impart knowledge sucessfully and aren't already covered by another tutorial, they are all top scoring work.. regardless of c-index

For those of us who need to learn, how are we to vote on a tutorial? I may not know what I am looking at in terms of reworking & my voting may be done just by what I like, not on composition. IMHO, I do not think tutorials should be voted on at all. In some of the tutorials, I may not understand a single word you are saying in the rework. Is it possible to take the voting away from tutorials so the c-index is not a factor, but as Sam said, just a lesson for someone to learn from?

Agree with mimi, Sam. Please, you've to restore. Tutorials is not a voting gallery, just... tutorials ;-)

anyone who takes the time to create a tutorial for the rest of us to learn from, no matter how well or how bad deserves a 10. what you consider ordinary is extraoridnary to me. keep up the great work.

Yeah, I must say hardly anyone has looked at my tutorial. Is there any point in posting them?

Your tutorial did fine, 52 people downloaded your tutorial. If 10 of them learned something, you should be inspired to post more. Most of the people on this site are very experienced, but there are lots of newcomers. Last year before I got my first camera I read every tutorial on the site, now I'm very comfortable with photoshop and can do works like Assimilation and make my own tutorial. It doesnt take much to help people out.

i was happy enough making my tutorials to help just one person... so if anymore than that benifited its great! :D

the uploading images seems more self explanitory than Icon creation. Maybe I will do a tutorial for my icon ;)
