Hey guys! I've seen some great things on this website with the wallpapers. I've got ONE question... where do you go to create these wallpaers? I want to learn to make art like that. Any advise would be great. THANKS!
lol.. just one question. it sounds so simple and yets its sooo complex. and so many possible answers it makes my head spin...try heading over to the FAQ(Frequently Asked Questions) and have a read there, the "what softare" section might help you find out what most of us use to create our images if your interested in that sort of image creation.. or as many other people do, just grab a camera and hunt down something that interests you! And if you come up with something good... come back and share it with us!
Hi Theresa. Hope you've also realized that a sense of humor goes a long way here too! Welcome to the site. Good luck with your art and our funny folks. ;)

Wherever my PC is >:]
(Though it often hides cos it knows there is hard work coming if I am sitting down with coffee & an evil grin on my face.)
Unless I am not in lazy mode, then I grab my camera & go for a walk. =D
If you are new too digital art & such, try JASC's PaintShopPro, it's easier to get too grips with than Adobe's Photoshop, & you can pick up the basics with that & not dent your pocket too much.
Then from there you can move onto the wonderous world of the many facets of digital mayhem (Digiart) with other progs such as Bryce & all kinds of other weird & wonderful plug-ins or toys that are available free or for a cost.
Which ever way you go, hope you get as much out of it as you put into it & create some masterpieces too share with the rest of the web. =]
So welcome & looking forward too seeing what you create.
Remember, imagination isn't the be all & end all, but it's a bloody good start. :)
There are lots of software packages for 3d art. Lightwave and Maya make a good combo, though they are very low level (hard to learn). 3d studio max, bryce, and poser make a good combo as well. I use photoshop end game for pretty much everything. But then again I'm a photographer, not a digital artist. (Damn that contest!)
welcome tressy i also am hopeless with the art and photo side of this site. but i can spend endless time admiring the creativity of the members work. i have found them to be very helpful and amusing people. hope that you enjoy your time in here and come again often
