Many of you at Caedes might remember Vamoura - I just received the following letter...
Hi Nathan
I'm vamoura's boyfriend, and I know that you helped her with fractals
and you had fun on caedes and devainArt. She spoke about you with a
smile and she really liked to talk and share pictures with you. (sorry
for my english but I m french ).
I just wanted to let you know that vamoura (her real name Maryse) passed
away on october 5th at the age of 44. I dont know all her friends on
fractals web sites but I know that she really liked you and that s why I
send you this email, and I would like to thank you for all you did for
her, because each time she had news from you she was excited by the
graphic result.
So thanks a lot, I will let her web site www.vamoura.com open and I will
try to find her UFR to keep her memory alive .
Thanks again
Jean-Marc
She was a terrific fractal artist and a good friend. My deepest love and sympathy goes out to family and friends.
Of course I remember Vamoura. How sad for the community of artists. How blessed are those of us who had moment in time to share a comment, a thought or even a laugh with her.
Thank you for letting us know Nathan. How kind of Jean-Marc to let you know. Please thank him for me and pass along my deepest sympathy. :(
I'm very sorry to hear this news, I've always appreciated her art and while I didn't interact with her much, I'd see her comments around and she always seemed like a very genuine and open person. Please pass along my condolences to Jean-Marc and let him know that she will be remembered and appreciated.
I'm deeply saddened to hear this news, Vamoura was very kind and had encouraging words to say to me and others. I didn't know her well, but it seemed as though a real love of life shone through her wonderful fractals. She had a style all her own.
Please give my deepest sympathies to Jean-Marc, her family and loved ones.
I'm shocked by the news - I didn't know Vamoura but her fractals were very good and eye-catching. I knew her work when I saw it. My condolences to her friends and family.

For those who are new and don't know who Vamoura is she was a fantastic fractal artist and a lovely lady, I remember when she first came here and asked me how to do fractals I showed her Tierazon, after her first one she took to it in leaps and bounds turning out stunning work.. you can see her wonderful art here Gallery
I'm so sorry Nathan, she seemed like a wonderful person, even though I didn't know her personally. She was always very nice to me regarding comments, and she was one of my favorite artists here when she was posting. She will be sorely missed. =(
I am shocked and greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Marou, as I too addressed her...our paths crossed on a few occassions and she seemed such a lovely lady whose works consistently struck me as recognizably hers in their enchanting design and adventurous color...I will miss her...my sincerest condolences go out to her loved ones...thank you for letting us know, Nathan.

I just looked thru her gallery and was amazed at the wonderful fractals she created. She will be missed by her Caedes family. My prayers go out to her family and friends.
The passing of Vamoura is a terrible loss to us all. Not only as an artist, but as very nice person too.
I did exchange some messages with her and found her character as colorful as her art. My sincere condolences to all who knew her.
Hey there Mister Madman, wat'cha know that I don't know
Tell me some crazy stories, let me know who runs this show
Glassy-eyed and laughing, he turns and walks away
Tell me what made you that way
Been gone for a long time and this is the first thing to catch my eye on my return. So sad, such a sweet lady. Always glad to help and up for the games. We don't know the circumstances but it definitely wasn't time. Thank you, Nathan, and condolences to Jean-Marc

I have been here and there, busy with life and not visiting Caedes as often as I once did... and just found out the sad news. Marou's art was beautiful, not only from her talent, but because of who she was. I remember when I first joined, she was one of the first to welcome me, and was always available to help me when I got fractal brain freeze. She will truly be missed.
Please, DO NOT close her gallery. It deserves a permanant place of honor here at Caedes, as a memoriam of a wonderful and amazing person.
Nathan, thank you for the news. Please pass my heartfelt condolences on to her family for me.
