I GOT A QUESTION

I recently went to the image rankings page and noticed that the highest c-index was like 94. What happend to All the 99's. And also is there like a strickter voting system that i do not know about or are poeple just voting differently. Becuase I remember when to get a top new image you had to have a 99 c-index and know there is top images with like 88 and such. I was just curious.

This is a post from Caedes regarding the new c-index distribution in another thread. Hope this helps explain why there are no 99's. : )

Re: C-index Distribution

I put limits on the influence of number of favorites and the view to download ratio. Now the user rating from voting is the largest factor.

Or were they just recalculated?

All images were recalculated. There are no longer any with a c-index of 99... I think the highest c-index an image has now is a 94... though a c-index of 99 is possible, it isn't nearly as easy to get.

It just gets more and more expensive to 'acquire' one of those elusive 99s!
However, I am open to certain offers...
