Well thanks for the warm welcome. Everyone here is so kind. As for your comment +camerahound I would like to put some work up but I lack the talent that everyone here has. Everyone seems to have great cameras or are extremely skilled with programs such as adobe photoshop. The only cameras I have are those Kodak ones you use and then dispose of lol! And I have adobe photoshop 6.0 but I do not have the smarts to figure it out.....but who knows maybe some day I will post something, if anything for a laugh hehe :)

cheers nice meeting ya'll

Right Ok, I'm totaly new to all this fractal stuff. This said I am still amazed at it. I only joined a few minutes ago and like I said this is all new to me, so would someone be kind enough to describe to me how you do it, what programs you use and so on and so forth?
I'm looking forward to posting stuff.

Hi Jeremy... welcome to caedes.. you should put some work in... i was told i was a "tourist" photographer when i put my first pic on here ... my pics were pretty bad... lol.. but on here everyone is really great, and will help with anything, answer and questions (no matter how dumb you think the question is... lol).... if it wasnt for these great people here.. i would never have taken some of the shots i have or improved, people on here have a wide variety of talents... and each and everyone here are very talented people and are willing to help ... im only a novice, having had my camera for only a couple of months, and im still learning .....

SO GO FOR IT... it doesnt matter what kind of camera you have.. as long as you are enjoying taking the pic... share it with us... we would all love to see some of your work..

Hello from me too. I am only a novice at photography too, but you know that all you need to do is keep at it. Take as many pics as you can, delete the ones that are horrible, and trust me there will be many, lol. Enter the ones you feel are great or even just ok. We will help you out with suggestions and critiques that will help you build your skills.
Go into my gallery for example to see how my work has evolved. Mind you they tend to weed out some of the shots for us when they don't make the cut, so to speak. We are all in the same boat here, learning and helping one another. All the best of luck to you!

The most important part of a photograph is its content, which everyone has access to. The equiptment, and then the technical aspects come later.

Jeremy, Its nice of you to express your appreciation. As for lacking talent, well all of us had to start somewhere. We were all beginners once. The comments you recieve help you to improve your skills. You don't need expensive gear, just use whatever you have lying around. I encourage you to give it a try.

Thanks for expressing your appreciation, your very welcome.

gidday jrseen,
don't be afraid to become involved, the people here are great and if you need a hand or some advise .. all you have to do is ask
like puma says ... what have you got to lose ... but then how much satisfaction do you stand to gain...
welcome
Russell
