Well since you did ask ..and I'm not on one of the 20 other disscution boards, what are you looking for. To edit photography or to create something completely on the computer. ..if you're talking photography ..do you have a camera? If so what kind? If it is a Canon it comes with a disc that you can install an editing program called Photoimpression. ..maybe other camera brands do have thoughs discs too, I don't know because I only have a Canon camera. ...also Photoshop is a very popular editing program ..I hear you can basicly do anything on it ..but I don;t know cause I don;t have it ..but I also hear it is VERY pricey. ..I hope that helps.

I was just hoping to mess around with a program and see if I could make cool abstract stuff, nothing serious. I'm using my dad's camera, and I guess it's an hp photosmart 812? I don't think I have ever heard anyone on this site mention that they have used this camera, and I'm still trying to figure out how to take good photos. I also wanted a program that could do cool effects on photos like having one section of the picture colored and another section black and white, that sort of thing. On my computer there is a program called Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8, but it's only a demo because I just got my computer and I think I have to buy it if I want to use it anymore... ANYWAYS lol is that a good program to use to create abstract stuff? Thanks!

Well ...I have no idea. haha. I haven't heard of it. ...do you have a windows computer or a macintosh? ..if you have a macintosh then you probably have IPhoto which is a program where you put all your pics. You can also edit them. ..but to an exstint. ..nothing serious like Photoshop or even what I was talking about PhotoImpression. ..as for making a picture black and white with colored parts ...I am STILL not good enough to even figure out how to do that.

I use PSP8. It's a very good program and very user friendly. I do abstracts and fractals in other programs then finish them off in PSP8. Also much cheaper to buy that Photoshop.

I use PSP8 as well, and it's the business! :) Photoshop's much more powerful, from what I gather, and is rather good at adding funky fx to your pictures.. But for minor touching up of photos, PSP8 does the job pretty well..
