Diane, it is always okay to incorporate humor. I am a big fan of it. I like tongue-in-cheek; puns; oxymoron; slap-stick, etc. Humor is a creative force and is just as serious as anything else you find here in this very creative environment. Photography is part of the creative process you display with each upload. You are part as well.
I would think (and hope) that some people not only appreciate humor, but also seek it out. I've posted a few goofball images in the past, and they've been met with a pretty receptive audience.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
A NOTE TO ALL MY FRIENDS: I WILL BE COMMENTING LESS ON PEOPLE IN MY “FRIENDS” LIST SO AS TO MAKE TIME FOR VIEWING ALL “NEW IMAGES” AND ENCOURAGING OTHER PEOPLE OF WHOM I MAY NOT KNOW OR ARE NEW TO THE SITE. I WILL STILL VIEW EVERY IMAGE OF MY FRIENDS AND STILL COMMENT ON SOME IF I CAN GIVE A GOOD CRITIQUE OR MENTION WHAT I LIKE OR FEEL IS REALLY WORKIN’ WELL IN THE IMAGE. AS FAR AS MY IMAGES IF YOU HAVE A COMMENT ON HOW I CAN IMPROVE AN IMAGE I REALLY WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THAT SO AS TO LEARN AND BETTER MYSELF.
The moderators have deemed the thing called "humor" an unacceptable glitch in the Caedes matrix that needs to be eradicated at all costs, this was due to severe lawsuits launched against the site after various LCD and CRT screens suffered premature deaths due to being bathed in morning coffee...
That being said... humor is more than welcome! :-P
I must say... I could not imagine a world (or even a website) without humor! Please, keep up the good work everyone who is posting funny pictures! (this goes double for Hottrockin).

Is it OK to incorporate humor into a photo?
