Does anyone know how to make good digital sound waves in photoshop? I need to know because I will be using them on our yearbook cover. Our theme this year might be: Listen to the Beat of '09. The version of photoshop we are running is CS2.
Thanks for your Help,
KimSue

well sound & vision there's a mix....

your best bet would be to draw a simple overlapping wave pattern with a path in photoshop. create the dark background you want. create a new layer. on that layer pick a bright vibrant neon colour matching an oscilloscope i guess. stroke the path with a fairly soft wide brush. create a new layer and do the same thing with a harder brush but this time in white. play around with a vertical motion blur in different severities on the two layers. the white less than the coloured. when you are happy with the overall effect, merge the two wave layers. rotate the image to the vertical. apply the wind filter set to blast or stagger. apply filter and rerotate back to horizontal.
