I am always on the hunt for really "Easy to Use" programs. I ran across an Image Resizer program that is so easy to use, a caveman could do it. You just type in the size in pixtels you would like your image or batch of images converted to, push the button and its done. If you are interested, it is a free download at www.pedrolisks.com well worth your time and effort to download it. I tested this program, no bugs. If image resizing drives you nuts! this program should be your stress reliever.

Does it resize your images really big, & what about pixelation ? I render my fractals really big because of some problems I have & then I resize them down... make them smaller. But for sale purposes I need them larger, but that's where the pixelation problem comes in.

How big have you resized images & how did they look ?

Hi Lauren: A general rule of thumb, you can make them smaller but there isn't any pill or program in the world that will make your pictures BIGGER! Pixelation is a result of blowing up the picture beyond its natural viewing size. For example, if you have an 800X600 and you increase it to 1600X1200 you will get pixelation (thats when you see little pixels (squares) in your image. To get a great fractal, start with a 3000X3200 canvas, then reduce it. Yes it will take much longer, much much longer to render, but the viewable results are worth it. The little program I suggested is for individuals who like me are cheep, and do not wish to purchase any expensive image resizer. I have resized images larger in Photoshop, the resulting quality was not worth the effort.

I know, that's what I do now. It does take longer to render but the results are definitely worth it. No, I'd been using an online site to resize my images larger, after I size them down, you know ? For posting ? But there seems to be a problem with my account that's been going on for quite a while & I thought you might have a different answer.

What this site does is scan your image & resizes it, then their software fills in the pixels. So you get an enlarged image with no pixelation. But you can only get 3 sizes & the site has bugs & glitches. But when it works it works great.

'Genuine Fractals' will make your images bigger by 'adding' pixels to you required image....It's a bit costly, but does an excellent job!....

Bob you are correct! Genuine Fractals will increase the size of images 800 to 1000% and it also increased my blood preasure 600% when I saw the price. Yes it does an excellent job. Luckly I seldom increase the image size.
