I came accross a download I'd like to share with those who love frax flames but are enslaved to kpt.Its a stand alone program(no filter) and you have more control over the end product.it is freeware and there are presets available by others on the net.

Thanks for that. Good freeware graphics programs are quite a rarity.

I've been working with apophysis for quite some time. You can see in my gallery if you like. If you have any questions, feel free to ask by Personal Message. I'm not the best, but I know pretty much everything about Apophysis except how exactly to program with it.

Any freeware mac ones or a sudo code tutorial of making one so that I can write my own program?

see here for a list of open source softwares. I'd check the GNU softwares as well. You may be able to find some helpful stuff there... I'm sure any open source developers would love a coder willing to help debug for mac.

I tried blender but it just quit the moment I ran it, 3 times in total, was slightly annoyed about that.

if I remember correctly Blender had a major bug affecting Mac with the release that was two releases prior...the next one they said they fixed the compatability problem. I don't use Mac though, so I can't tell you for sure or not if they have.
