Ran across a new fractal program for Macintosh - FractalWorks. It's still in beta, and the author seeks feedback from users. It's an interesting program to toy around with. It will generate traditional 2d views, but it really shines in creating 3D view - including stereo images (you know, to view with the red/bluegreen stereo glasses). I'd encourage you Mac users to download and try it out.
It requires Mac OSX 10.4 or later. I'm running Snow Leopard (10.6) and it works fine. It's multithreaded and uses all available CPU cores, so the rendering time on my Core 2 Duo is amazingly swift. 3D views in real time.
