I can't seem to find any discussion threads concerning the journal and was just wondering what its intended use is. I'm also curious as to how others use it. Thanks.

It is an odd beast that just showed up one day with no clear explanation other than to say - lets see what happens.
Some folks place their favorite shot there so it shows at the top of their page. Others put most of their gallery in there. Others don't use it at all. I pick an image I would like to showcase and put it there. When I get bored with it I change it to another. I have not discovered any point to putting multiple images there as that is pretty much what the gallery is.
That's my take on it. I hope someone else adds to this. I would like to know what others think too.

Like David, I use it to showcase pictures I am especially proud of. I rotate pictures in and out as the mood hits me.
