Just might some inspiration in the above slide-show of images. You'll never look at the task of shoveling snow, staying dry during a downpour ... the same?
Great pictures and some good good inspiration for our thoughts if we are taking pictures of the snow, a storm, rain or what ever kind of shot the weather may bring us.
In the Military back in 69, Army Rule #1 stated that " unless you are a flyboy, weather does not affect the performance of your duty!" Occasionally I worked as a Psyops Photographer, all our duties referred to Army Rule #1. If it was a rush job, we would heat chemicals in an Amo-can, then after developing, cut negatives into strips and lay them on photo paper under the cover of a poncho, to make contact prints. We would lift a cover to expose light and quickly develop the prints. We would hang them to dry on any available branch, rope, radio antenna, jeep bumper etc. Then we would have to dismantle the camera and clean it. All the used chemicals were dumped into the Latrine pits. I should of listened to my Brother-in-Lay and signed up as a Flyboy.
Think i'd rather have your weather.. cleaning up after the worst flood in 40 years.. humid weather and now 2 cyclones to hit with in the week.. yeahh just love it... not
Jacqueline - I have no doubt that all of us around the world say prayers daily for the safety and the health of he people in your country. I see the daily video feeds as I slurp my morning coffee, of the destruction and helplessness in Australia. I wish there was something I could do about it, but all I can do is watch and pray. The Australian people are famous for their ability to cope, and I am sure they will do whatever it takes to deal with the mess, the inconvenience and the loss. In the mean time, I think Id rather have my weather also. The Cold, snowy and gray skies provide opportunity to shoot something different. Chin-up Jacque you are now living Rule #1. :)
I know, to a certain extent how it's going for you Jackie & I wish everyday the rain would stop & the mud would mysteriously dry up. Keep strong hon. *hug*
The mud and rain are the least of the worry at the moment all eyes are on the cyclones.. Anthony will hit around midnight tonight (that won't effect me).. the BIG one is supposed to get here Thursday and no one knows where that well cross over.. hopefully it will die or change direction.. but I'd love some snow lol.. seriously.. I've always loved it and i miss it..
