Hey everyone!
I've seen it somewhere before but I can't remember where...
How do you insert hyperlinks and what are you supposed to write?
Any replies will be appreciated :)
Hmm...yes i'm not sure I get it either...how come other people have hyperlinked words like "this page" and stuff? It says on the FAQ's that you have to type in the proper address :S
Confused!
There are many ways to answer this question;unfortunately most don't work on this specific site. While likely the least elegant, the following method works. Improvements or suggested clarifications are welcomed.
Here's a example that you might want to try.
We have to 'trick' the HMTL to not convert it into a link for the illustration. We do this by inserting an exclamation mark at the start of the HMTL tags. This prevents the tag from "working". We'll fix that later.
If you look at the string below you'll see a "less than" sign, a string of letters and numbers contained within quotation marks followed by a "greater than" sign. In this case it's the address of PrettyFae's gallery. You'll see, following that, the words "PrettyFae's Gallery", This would be the name of the link if used without any further edits.
To make this HTML instruction WORK, you need to remove the two exclamation marks then cut/paste the complete line into your comment. Once the comment is posted it will be converted into a working link.
If you need NEW links .. just substitute the example address and linkname with the address and linkname of your choosing.
Be VERY careful about the order of the statement, making sure you have all the quotes and signs as shown above ...and remember if you use the example above, to remove the exclamation marks. The example above will produce a link that looks like this: PrettyFae's Gallery.
Good morning
Ignore this post. I thought I had another method, but the system took what I did and corrected it, so I deleted what I originally typed here <shuffles off>
Enjoy your day

<sighs>
<mutters> at least he is enjoying his day
<slinks sideways trying to be obscurely unnoticed>
<mutters> would have worked if they hadn't invented auto-correct.
