An image has the power to take its viewer back in time, or tell a story to the viewer. Take, for example, an image of a help-wanted sign taped to the door of a downtown shop, or a pair of worn out Keds with a broken shoelace. Or perhaps a bike with training wheels lying beside it. It could be a saddle, or a volleyball left on a sandy beach. Perhaps a hockey stick stuck in a snowbank, or a speeding ticket.

The postings have started, the pictures are wonderful and the stories are a riot!

I see that and this is just lots of fun. The only thing that concerns me, is that this will keep us from posting our usual images, but it is nice to get to know the others on a more personal level. How long will we continue this? This would have been great on those days when we could post 2 images but now with the 1 only upload, it may deter from too much participation. Maybe a couple each week and then our usual images the other days?

Oh, there's certainly no requirement to keep this going. It will live as long as people find the energy to comment, thus rewarding the contributor. If the contributor is feeling rewarded, they'll post again.

For any of us...there's only so much nostalgia we can take! So far, for me, it has been very entertaining and has produced some excellent images. The side benefit is the revealing of the warm human side of this site. This appeals to some.

In the end, June (and others) follow whatever path keeps you posting, irrespective of subject.

Perhaps this will spawn other creative assignments. I have another in mind and Sam(+Samatar) has just posted one called What's Jasmine thinking?.

this was a worth while piece of work and reading others was more fun than posting, let's find more like this short term, and delete and move on to a new one, thanks...it's better than talking about the new posts and how bad they are and what can we do to remove them and yada yada yada
