What happened to the Featured Artist selection? It has been 7 months since the last one was nominated. Are members not sending there votes to Mimi? I would like to see this activated again. There are a lot of new and existing artists that deserve the recognition...

Actually, the way that many people who are mods became mods was by either suggesting things like this or doing the legwork for these projects when they weren't mods.

There's no need for anyone "official" to take care of it if someone cares about it and would like to see it continue.

I know that I organized a couple of contests (only one of them actually ran, but I had been discussing the other with *caedes) back when I was just a regular member without a key to the executive fridge.

I dunno if anyone's every seen the 3000 threads that Les posts on useful tricks and tips for various forms and aspects of art, and Keith (I miss you Keith!) used to do it before him and so did Phil (I miss you Phil!). All of them did that before they were mods, not because they were mods.

If there's something you think is missing which would be a nice feature, or used to be, by all means, take it up and work on it.

I am overdue on my Scavenger Hunt (This was probably a bad week to turnover - anybody else turkey stuffed and still running around like a chicken without a head?) so I'll go take care of that shortly...
